outcome with "lessons" and "field trips" like this:
The memorial is located on a site where African Americans were enslaved. The memorial, known as the National Lynching Memorial, uses “interactive media, sculpture, videography, and exhibits to immerse visitors in the sights and sounds of the domestic slave trade, racial terrorism, and the Jim Crow South,” according to its website.
“For us to see it in person, hear those stories and see those videos, it was very awakening,” said Jeremiah Tilmon.
Missouri forward Javon Pickett linked the trip to the discussions the team had over social justice protests [...].
“Just seeing all those different types of stories we talked about over the summer,” Pickett said. “To actually see it (and) experience it with one another was great. It just keeps building us a bigger bond.”
“I think it’s amazing how, as players, just things they say, ‘I didn’t know that. I had no clue about that.’”
“It’s American history,” Martin said.
Yeah, that's not divisive at all... I'm sure it will inspire racial unity and harmony, rather than hatred and resentment of white people. By the way, imagine how Braun must have felt as the only white person on the team... how uncomfortable and singled out he must have felt. Of course, it's acceptable because he's white, in fact he's a racist if he complains. It's no surprise that he decided to transfer to a less racially divisive program.
