Missouri will look to extend its best start since the 1998-99 campaign on Tuesday, as the Tigers host Fang Mitchell and the Coppin State Eagles at Mizzou Arena ... The Tigers enter Tuesday's 8 p.m. affair on a three-game winning streak and will look to close out the non-conference season with yet another perfect home record.

The Tigers scored 30 points off Georgia's 23 turnovers and defeated the Bulldogs 83-76 Saturday afternoon to win a nonconference game on the road for the first time since prevailing at Indiana (63-58) on Dec. 6, 2003.

ATHENS, Ga. | To note that 18 years had come and gone since the last time Missouri won on Southeastern Conference hardwood — before Saturday's 83-76 victory at Georgia — is relative.

Key play: DeMarre Carroll went up from the shadow of the rim, intent on a basket that would put Missouri up 22-21. Georgia’s Trey Thompkins had other plans. He skied high and delivered one of the more convincing blocks of the year, nailing Carroll to the floor.

The 52-17 triumph at Nebraska. It was the Mizzou offense’s finest moment. Chase Daniel threw for three touchdowns and Derrick Washington (left) rambled for 139 yards and three scores. And it was MU’s first victory at Nebraska in 30 years.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- All-American tight end Chase Coffman will undergo surgery next week on his injured left foot.... His father, Paul Coffman, told The Kansas City Star that doctors will install a screw Tuesday into the fifth metatarsal bone to help the injury "heal faster and ensure to the NFL scouts that it won't happen again."... Coffman is the most prolific tight end in NCAA history and figures to be the second Missouri player to be drafted after a stellar four-year career....
