Last person in the United States that was a victim of legal slavery. He died 51 years; easily within the lifetime of many people on this forum. 150 years ago wasn't that long in terms of the impact it has had on the lives of the descendants, particularly when they had essentially no civil rights in many states until the 1960's. Kentucky basketball did not even have black players until the early 1970's.

Not sure why you have such an issue with the Museum visit. I thought it was absolutely an appropriate place to take his team.
