I majored in history at Mizzou and I think every person should know the history of our great country especially recent history. However it burns me when todays ---ok Ill say it--- snowflakes--- apply modern day morality and ideas to people who lived centuries ago or even decades ago. Its pathetic.
Look at this whole gender identity issue...five years ago would anyone get upset over issues which now cause cancel culture? Nope. History needs to be studied and learned but when we apply our morals to how people acted in the past we are doomed.
