Frank Martin is a top 35 guy. Barnes is doing work at UT and has an ok track record. Avery Johnson was an interesting hire. Some people love Howland (Zounami claimed he would make the NCAA tourney this year, lol). But if you're trying to compare the fifth best coach in the SEC to the fifth best in the B1G, Big 12, ACC, etc., it's not close. Also hurts that there are some truly crappy jobs in this conference (Ole Miss, Auburn, South Carolina, maybe even LSU at this point).
You're starting to see some commitments ramping up though just because the SEC schools have so much money. If Mark Fox leaves UGA that's a very attractive job.
