his own players/recruits, and had more success than he was able to have at Miami or at Tulsa.

He brought some studs here to Missouri. Obviously, his standout season was the one with MA's players, but he had some respectable seasons on his own as well. And that's the point, it was easier for him to win here than at his other jobs. Same with Mike Anderson.
