He started with next to nothing, took them to 3 straight tourneys with an elite 8, and left a 30 win team all in the span of 5 years. It's probably significantly less than 50% that our next coach has a first 5 year record here better than Mike's 5 year record here. He was very, very good for the program.

I agree the time was right for Mike to leave, given his desire to go to Arkansas, but he did a tremendous amount of good for the program during his five years.
