It's when the toxic investments are cleared, and resources are re-purposed to productive ventures. It is short term pain, but it is necessary, and it will properly organize the markets if it is allowed to occur (i.e. no central countercyclical interventions to stop the healing process).

There is a good chance that most banks would fail, and then would have to restructure their business to operate within their reserve-based means. Grocery stores will be fine, for the most part. People like food.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
