1). If his proposed option for the US, and other countries, is feasible then why couldn't it be feasible for any such situation in the future? Does he actually think repudiating and ignoring all the paper bought by other countries won't have a future impact on them? Like, zero transactions.
2) Is he so stupid and clueless as to think such action would have no impact on future interest rates. I remember 16% mortgages and at least 12% gov't paper. Trying computing our debt service today at that rate.
