They (pence and trump) are players in the business, they are part of the market here - first, because of the corporate taxes, payroll taxes, regulations that both state and feds impose on Carrier and secondly because UTX does a massive amount of business with the Feds.

You're arguing IBM shouldn't leverage a larger contract against a subsidiary of Cisco because they can't know what's best for the industry. They are the industry.

In this case, Govt has created the unfair playing field, there is no free market they are meddling in.
