Keeping jobs in the US, a state or community contributes to the rising tide that lifts all boats. The salaries from those jobs circulates through the community in the form of purchases from other business and services.

Any tax rebates to the company is more than paid back by the State income taxes paid on the incomes of those jobs plus those employees will also pay state and local sales taxes, not to mention property taxes.

Saying prices on air conditioners would be cheaper to consumers is doubtful since any tax concessions would help offset the lower cost of labor, increased shipping costs, and yes, tariffs, so any savings in labor is a wash.
