to teams like UMKC and SEMO even really bad P5 teams are good by comparison.
I think you can rank the P5 and maybe even the top-tier mid-majors pretty accurately because they play similar enough schedules that the data is pretty solid.
But when you throw the bottom 250 schools into the mix those rankings become a farce. Just because a team ranks in the top 100 does not mean that they are a quality team. In most seasons anything below 100 is really bad.
