He just assumes that every game we missed was a win. We did not fare well against the weaker teams on our schedule.
It also ignores the fact that many of our early season wins were because we took advantage of our experience in playing teams who had not had much practice or played early games.
If Oregon, Illinois, Wichita St, and Liberty had all played their preseason warm-ups do you think we would have gone 4-0 against them?
We struggled down the stretch because other teams shook off the rust and overtook us. We had a huge advantage the first two months of the season.
