A "tie for the conference is a bit disappointing" for us? By whose standards? Not to me.
Tigerboard has 'set a standard' that nobody cares about conference titles in college basketball (won after 1994) or standing in the polls in college basketball (if we're ranked in them and your boys are not) and that getting to the Elite Eight and no further in college basketball (outside of 1976, 1994, 2002 and 2009) is 'failure' and 'underachievement'. And yet in this thread we see how just getting votes in the polls is a significant accomplishment and getting to just the Sweet 16 is regarded as a goal.
As a dumb Beaker, it's perplexing.
And, of course, we 'cheat' all the time. And have been since the Pleistocene Era. Of course we have. And the NCAA has always turned a blind eye to it. Everyone on here knows that. Would three probations in 30 years time be an 'incredible record', as well?
