body on Tigerbored said he was, we shouldn't be close, we should be stomping all over it. I suppose I tempered my statements because I know Martin's not as good as you all think, but if he is, then you have to consider.
He'll be in year 4.
He will have:
Tilmon, who should be absolutely unstoppable as a senior.
Dru & Mark as seniors who should be the best combo of senior wings in the SEC if not most of the country.
Mitch & Santos may be seniors capable of offering some help.
Junior guards in Pinson, Watson, and Pickett that almost any team in the country would love to have as juniors.
That is 8 upper classmen and the only thing lacking from that 8 is a known stud for a second big man.
Then, he'll have McKinney and Jackson as sophomores and with a year under their belts, they should be making a difference. Not all conference expectations, but quality play that helps the team and Jackson should be developing into that second big. Based on recruiting he may have another kid as a sophomore.
Finally, if he recruits like people think he will, he should have a couple of badass freshmen. I don't expect him to get Love, Fletcher, Christopher, and Foster, but he should get 2 of them and then fill in with another nice player or two. Maybe Kasubke or another guy.
And that doesn't cover Braun, who some of you think will become a legit player.
If Martin is anything near the coach that he was purported to be on Tigerbored, a sweet sixteen appearance should be the minimum expectation for this team in 2021.
