laws are enforced through 'the power of the state', but that is true of all laws by all states, whether they are Christian or not.

The alternatives are:

Government - in which case there are laws -- in which case it just boils down to whether one makes those laws in conformity and harmony with God's laws, or whether society makes them based upon man made values that do not recognize the truth of God and of God's law.

or

Anarchy - where there is no government, and hence no governmental laws. Of course, there may be private laws, which are enforced with violence or threats of violence, or just a survival of the fittest, might makes right type of society.
