or distracted and they hurt someone, there are crimes already on the books. .08 isnt objective. Some drivers at .08 have better reaction time than sober drivers. Some are impaired at .02. Some are dangerous drivers sober.

.08 is lazy. It assumes you are impaired at that level by law, not by fact.

Airplanes, taxies, 18 wheelers, etc are ran by private companies who have every right to set BAC levels for their employees.
