abortion thing is a great example.

Congress is too gutless to take it up. So SCOTUS was able to find the constitutional right to an abortion in a previously contrived right to privacy.

I am not arguing the virtues or legality or morality of abortion here. Only the preposterous legal precedent it set with the ridiculous ruling, and the cowardice of the legislative branch to do its job.
