I simply said that it's important to consider the ideology of the court when assessing the decisions that they make. The same is true of liberal or conservative courts. I didn't say it was important to have a certain ideological mix, which, by the way, you boys tout as one of Trump's biggest accomplishments. I think it's far more important whether a particular candidate has the scholastic aptitude to understand and apply the law.
Earl Warren, for example, was a surprise to the POTUS that appointed him, being far more liberal than thought when appointed. John Roberts decision for the majority would fall in a similar camp.
