Mizzou has had a #2 seed and a #3 seed in that time frame, indicating a high ceiling.

Reached the Elite 8 in one of those appearances.

Won 2 conference championships (conference tourneys).

Finished with a top 10 ranking.

What has Illinois done since 2008?

If that is your metric, then Missouri is the better job with a higher ceiling.
