1. We have money.
2. Doesn't matter. This isn't a reason to keep him. This will remain true forever going forward until he's fired or retires.
3. Highly unlikely. Money + major conference + history means we'll be able to hire someone good.
4. It also sets a precedent that says we have low expectations. Great coaches want to go where they'll be given resources to excel and everyone is passionate about winning. Not where they'll be coddled no matter how bad they are.
5. The current NCAA investigation is nothing. Whatever the penalties, they won't be enough to hinder a good coach.
6. Not reassuring considering they're all his recruits now. And he'd still be a dead man walking unless we gave him an extension.
7. We're already going to have a junior-laden team next year. And experience matters far less than talent.
