I've wanted to support KA and tried to defend him but even he knows the score at this point. We are legitimately in danger of being able to look back at a 9 win season two years ago as being the "good old days" in terms of win total compared to a 5 win season this year.
I definitely felt it was any coach's right to be judged by a roster of his own players. KA got to that point this year. It's an extremely young roster, but its his. And the result is worse than it was when he was using another coach's recruits.
At this point it's a mercy killing for him, and an imperative rescuscitation move for the program to move on. Waiting any longer would do damage that could take decades for the program to recover from. It already might.
