They weren't best friends. They talked occasionally and Phil played a part in getting him here but ultimately it was Fuller who was the driving force. You can see this relationship still exists today if you follow Jordan on social media. Clarkson is here because of Fuller. Pressey helped because that's what good coaches do. They have their players help sell a school.

And Fiji's point about reduced expectations is 100% on target here.

Going into year 3 Frank Haith had all of his own players, recruited under the cloud of the Miami investigation, and was still able to win 23 games. But it didn't meet our expectations for what Mizzou basketball should be and he was on the hotseat.

Kim Anderson is entering year 3 with all of his own players, recruited for half of a season under the cloud of a NCAA investigation, and many on here seem to think 16 or 17 wins is acceptable. I don't know how anyone could possibly argue that the expectations aren't reduced for Kim. I don't understand why so many people will give him a free pass for having a 16 or 17 win season. It's college basketball. You can completely rebuild a program in 3 years. He just wasn't prepared or qualified for the job and it's being used as an excuse by some of our fans.
