Not to criticize, but how does coaching

HS make you an expert on coaching. There are a lot of ESPN and other sports analysts that have never played or coached basketball, football, or any other sport and they are deemed as experts. Some are quite good, some not. I just don't see how coaching makes someone an expert over someone that has not.
