Last year's performance means shyt. New coach and upgraded staff.
As far as next year's class, we have a bunch of offers out there. Probably fair to assume our performance will go a long way. Clearly other programs, like Illinois, are being negative about the program and new coach. It's a long time before signing day.
However, the staff definitely gets much credit for going out and convincing Black, and Ross, and Mitchell to come aboard late in the game. I guess you could also throw in Collins and Stannard, too.
As far as recruiting rankings, it's been proven outside of a few elite programs that rankings mean jack. Charles Harris was a zero-star, effectively, coming out of HS. He's on track to be a surefire 1st rounder.
Little talent on O? Laughable. Lock and the WRs are all a year older, plus we upgraded the RBs by 3 spots. Witter is probably the #4 back now. There's a lot of talent among our QBs, WRs, TEs, and RBs. Lock is a budding star. Just wait. Plus, I feel very confident Elarbee will have the line playing well. It's a little thin depth-wise with experience, but sounds as though a couple of the FR will play and are looking good.
Barring numerous injuries, how can a fan NOT see success upcoming? I sure can.
