John Doleva is the president and CEO of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
"We have one eye on it, but we're not making any judgements on it, until it's been adjudicated by the proper authorities and the NCAA has to weigh in as well," he said. "We have to take that all into consideration. It's uncharted territory we're in right now."
"We have a mechanism in place where a Hall of Famer could be recalled for egregious violation of the game. That's on our books. It would require, the same percentage as it takes to get into the Hall of Fame, 75-percent of our board would have to vote to remove a Hall of Famer," Doleva said.
"Anything that besmirches the game. Betting on a game or tanking a game or significant recruiting violations that impacted a season or a championship. We want to protect the purity of the game. Anything that would violate that is under consideration," he said.
