Even if he'd have hired Self, he wouldn't have stayed. Or Mizzou would have begun cheating with the big boys. Self had been an assistant at KU and knew he had the "infrastructure" walking in. Sorta like OU Football. Decades of a system of obtaining players. If Mizzou wasn't doing that, Self wouldn't be staying long.
