Largely because they were so well coached and played at such a high level, particularly offensively. there were assistant cosching changes after that season that fundamentally changed the way MU played and coached. I wouldn’t expect you to reasonably know this as a KSU fan, but the next year we were actually considerably more talented but underperformed due to Bowers getting re-injured and us kicking Dixon off the team.
More towards the point of this thread, he didn’t leave MU in the midst of an NCAA investigation nor was the results of the 2013-14 season vacated due to violations Haith caused. That is specifically what is being discussed, those are retroactive narratives created by Kim fans to distract from or explain away some of his failures. That isn’t what actually happened even though there were certain parties aggressively pushing that misinformation and to some extent some people still subscribe to those notions.
