yes tax revenues went up...why? NOT because individuals paid more on the same income year over year. In fact, individuals paid LESS.
As a whole, certainly more people paid taxes than the year prior because of lower unemployment. Also, some people moved to increased income jobs, which then did increase their tax bill, but unless they moved to a higher tax bracket, still paid the same OR LESS as a percentage of their income.
To calculate those types of averages and numbers you need a lot more data to base the calculations on...number of taxpayers, number of new taxpayers (newly employed), etc.
So you cannot say 'everyone paid more taxes', as that is not true. I did not, and many did not, and you can't use your bogus national average to claim it either. You can say, as a nation we have a higher tax revenue, but then you continue to conflate that to correlate to the individual level when it's not accurate to do so.
