Who cares if overall tax revenues increase due to increased economic activity?

I thought they were all about the individual. Most individuals paid less in taxes due to Trump's cuts in the marginal tax rates, as did most corporations.

Now to try to save their paradigm that there is no difference between R's and D's, they say, oh no, focus on the collective, not the individual. focus on overall tax revenues which increased due to increases in overall economic activity.
