win 22, you have failed, just as if you set your goal as reaching the championship game and only make it to the final four. Goals are meant to be reached or exceeded. Not reaching them means failure. Otherwise, why set the goal in the first place.

Too often, a leader fails to reach his goal, and later begins to change his tune and label his failure as a partial success. That is just so much window dressing to try and cover up the fact that he missed his goal. Those in leadership who fail to reach their goals year after year, usually end up getting fired or transferred into a lesser position.
