FIJI is confusing the terms 'standard' which is based

on the past, and a 'goal' which based on the future. A goal should never be based on the past unless it is realistic and attainable. Otherwise, the head of the organization is setting himself up for failure. And let's remember that FIJI is not the head of the basketball program and would not suffer the consequences of a failure to win 24 games next year. The actual head of the program, Kim Anderson, is not stupid enough to set the bar that high quite yet. On the other hand, a positive thing that FIJI has brought up , is that the goal for next year should not be set too low, such as less than 15 wins. I agree with him on that point. One last comment. Every goal needs to have a defined strategy that will lead to its accomplishment. Otherwise, there is no way to reach the goal. You can't set a goal of 24 games and just wing it. No action plan = unobtainable goal.
