He was not talking about a standard, which is a benchmark from the past. Rather, he was talking about this coming season, which is a goal (check out Management 101 if you do not believe me). You answered, '24 wins, top 5 in SEC, 9 seed or higher in NCAA tourney," but gave no action plan for accomplishing it. No action plan = unattainable goal.
