They had a few soccer fields on the walk along the ocean front. Over the weekend and on weeknights, they had league play, and the players were probably 8-10 years old or so.

They were organized like a hs team. Obviously not the skill, but they stayed in their positions and all that.

When I watched youth soccer in USA, it is like following a blob. I am sure there are good leagues and groups, but the resources and interest just are not there.

Aren't most of the top US players actually taught elsewhere? (Germany?)
