showed he tested positive for Meth, Fentanyl, marijuana, and morphine (likely from heroin)
"Signs associated with fentanyl toxicity include severe respiratory depression, seizures, hypotension, coma and death"
"Layer by layer dissection of the anterior strap muscles of the neck discloses no areas of contusion or hemorrhage within the musculature. The thyroid cartilage and hyoid bone are intact".
"Cross sections of the vessels show multifocal atherosclerosis, with 75% proximal and 75% mid narrowing of the left anterior descending coronary artery; 75% proximal narrowing of the 1st diagonal branch of the left anterior descending coronary artery; 25% proximal narrowing of the circumflex coronary artery; and 90% proximal narrowing of
the right coronary artery."
I want to make it clear that Chauvin used excessive force and assaulted Floyd. No question there. I think Chauvin was basically telling those individuals who were filming him and imploring him to stop that they couldn't question his authority and he was determined come hell or high water to stay on Floyd's neck to prove his point. So in short, I think he's a ****head.
I feel that all the officers failed to recognize, or failed to act on their recognition, that Floyd was in need of medical treatment BEFORE Chauvin decided to kneel on his neck, let alone after. One of the officers even questioned Chauvin that maybe they should do something and he was overruled by Chauvin perhaps b/c of his seniority? I don't know.
But I still have not seen proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Chauvin's knee pressure is what killed Floyd. I think there's probable cause for the arrest and the charges although my personal opinion is they have overcharged but that's what the trial is for. I think it will be an interesting case assuming it's a fair trial.
the defense will certainly argue that Floyd had a heart attack from a toxic drug cocktail, not from anything to do with Chauvin's knee.
