Take multiple accounts, say like the crucifixion and instead of reading them separately, craft a whole new story of their own.

We have crucifixion accounts were Jesus says. Nothing until the moment of his death and another that has Jesus talking up a storm on his way up to be crucified and while hanging on the cross.

Theologians then come along and combine the stories into their own new account, not found in the Bible.
