and the subject is complicated. The way history has been and is recorded is fascinating. It can absolutely appear to be subjective as what version is kept may be decided by who won what. I undertsand your reservations about early biblical history which falls into the same camp as all history. My conclusion about the New Testament is that it's as valid as any historical record from that time. They do refer to a host of witnesses and people who would have still been alive as validaters.

The bottom line is by definition, anything that turns someone from Christ is demonic. Spirituality can give some purpose, comfort and many good deeds are done by Christians historically. I judge you know history well enough to agree. Christianity, when practiced, is beneficial.
