Broken communities have broken schools.

Broken communities have broken businesses

Broken communities have broken police forces

If you want to fix community institutions you first have to fix the communities.

Why are broken schools broken? Too few parents push their children to be successful.

Why are broken businesses broken? Are inner cities food deserts because poor people don’t eat? No, it is because super markets operate on small profit margins to begin with and when shoplifting reaches a certain point those stores are no longer viable.

Why are broken police forces broken? The people are too afraid of the criminals in their neighborhoods to work with the police to fix problems.

Fix the community and you fix all these problems in one fell swoop.
