that belief in God is rational, whereas belief that "there is no God" is irrational. I think by any rational measure the article succeeded and is not "garbage".

Judeo-Christian beliefs, are of course a completely different matter, but the article never intended to address that issue & hence should not be judged as "garbage" because it did not address questions you had on a completely different topic.

Your following assertion is also a false one:

"there is still no evidence the Judeo-Christian beliefs are anywhere close to correct."

There is a lot of historical and logical evidence for the Judeo-Christian beliefs, but that would be a long topic, suitable for its own thread... though in reality a thread could hardly do it justice, as it is a topic that could not be completely addressed even in several large books.
