Again, then we are getting hung up on words alleged to have been spoken by . . . wait a second . . . if it is in the bible then it is the word of God. Where'd you hear that? In the Bible. Oh.

Jesus allegedly says - as reported in Mathew - if you want what he has take your staff and your staff only. Leave your homes, your family, your jobs, money, EVERYTHING and follow him, much like the ascetic. You cannot serve two masters.

What I find so troublesome is this American interpretation that if you "accept Jesus" it is all good. It is NOT so easy. Take your staff and your staff only if you want what he has. Otherwise come round again through life after life after life. It is nothing but life.
