I actually agree with you to some extent. Everyone saw what happened when KA couldn't recruit premier players, attendance and hence revenue dropped. But I disagree with the term "Universities". Athletic departments make the money and spend the money. That income does not make it back to the University to strengthen its academic programs. Missouri is fortunate enough to be in the black but the overwhelming majority of athletic programs are not.
