Bello scored 13 points and grabbed 6 boards in 22 minutes against Haith (us) in the Big 12 championship game. He was pretty good/effective in that game if that was the basis for giving him an opportunity. It was reasonable to assume his skill set wouldn't be maximized in Scott Drew's zone defense approach, the thought was he could use his athleticism to be a plus level defender.
