position on the field. and i think everyone can agree he's been able to find at least one player at each of those positions who has panned out.
i think we'd all agree he has excelled at identifying talent in the secondary, for example. but you can't use the results to say he's been good with one position but then turn around and say the results don't matter for evaluating another position.
and no, not every cfb coach wanted the same guys he did coming out of HS. Macon's offer list was pretty sparse for a 4* especially with his elite 11 hype. Horn, despite his high ratings, didn't have offers from home state Georgia or many of the other top programs that you'd expect, especially considering his rankings. Gabari Johnson had a handful of P5 offers from the pacific northwest, but us and arkansas were his only SEC offers and arkansas doesn't really count as a major program anyway. the transfers (garcia and pyne) i don't think were in very high demand, but who knows how transfers work.
overall i don't see a successful qb on his list, yet.
