Spoon was great. But given the talent surrounding Gage (or lack thereof), he gets extra points for standing out like he did. He already attracted enough of the defense's attention given that he was pretty much the only receiving threat most of those years.
His clutch performances at lawrence in 01 and against OU the following year shouldn't be forgotten.
