always treasure the thrills that he gave me. His Senior year he caught 90 passes for 987 yards in 12 games despite sitting out 2 games for injuries, averaging 82 yards a game.
Joe Moore ran the ball 260 times for 1312 yards in 10 games, averaging 131 yards a game his Junior year
Stats never tell the whole picture, and maybe because I come from the era of “three yards and a cloud of dust”, but tight ends just can’t dominate a game like a feature running back can. That was illustrated last year with Cody Schrader.
I appreciate that you changed your stance that Chase Coffman was an “easy answer” and now you’ll “allow debate”. How about an asterisk or a caveat? Since were both Mizzou fans and part of probably the most “shoulda, coulda, woulda” fanbase in college football, we can acknowledge that if Joe Moore had been relatively injury free, he woulda never been overlooked as one of the greatest Tigers.
