In counting down the days until the release of College Football 25 on video game consoles (and also in preparation of counting down the days until college football kicks off in August), I was making a list of players and jersey numbers to represent the day.
#28, for instance, is TJ Moe. I can't immediately think of anyone better that has worn #28 for us.
#27, of course, is Brock Olivo.
There are some that are just very, very easy answers.
#10 is Chase Daniel.
#16 is Brad Smith.
#11 is Blaine Gabbert.
#9 is Jeremy Maclin.
#45 is Chase Coffman.
I'm giving #3 to Luther Burden.
There are some that I'm very comfortable with even if there can be debate.
#7 is Corby Jones, but I'll hear arguments for Cody Schrader.
#23 is Roger Wehrli, but there is plenty of merit to Johnny Roland.
#3 is Luther Burden, but Drew Lock certainly shouldn't be ignored.
#14 is Chase Patton, because I can't think of anyone else.
#24 is James Kinney, because I'm not going to put Derrick Washington there.
So I have questions on some others.
Is #1 James Franklin? A lot of great players have worn #1. William Moore. Tyler Badie. There are others.
Is #2 William Franklin? Is it L'Damian Washington? Am I forgetting someone?
Is #6 Marcus Murphy? Is It Darius Robinson? Is it J'Mon Moore?
Perhaps my most difficult one - who is #12?
It isn't Brady Cook...yet...but it might be. Sean Weatherspoon is an obvious answer, right? Well, so is Justin Gage.
Any thoughts?
