CDC excessive deaths playing with numbers.

§§ Weeks when the observed numbers of deaths were below the average numbers from 2015 to 2019 were excluded from the total numbers of excess deaths above average levels (i.e., negative values were treated as 0 excess deaths).
So as a basic example.. pretend these are 4 weeks of numbers from 2020 in relation to 2015-2019.
Week 1: +4
Week 2: -3
Week 3: +2
Week 4: -1
If you do the math... 4-3+2-1 = +2. But the CDC doesn't like those weeks where 2020 was below 2015-2019.. so in this example, let's change the value of week 2 and week 4 to zero like the CDC.
4+2=6. So now we are looking at excess deaths up 6 instead of up 2.
Why doesn't the CDC show the real numbers instead of removing weeks from their calculations where 2020 was better than 2015-2019?
