failing to educate kids but is found in a successful community.

People love to slam our educational system as failing. The truth is that we have two systems in this country, one is every bit as good as you will find anywhere in the world and one that is an embarrassment.

Our suburban and small town schools are excellent. Our inner city systems are awful and our rural systems are all over the place, some great and some bad. But if you show me a school that is educating kids and preparing them for college or careers I will show you a community that is invested in that system.

It is impossible to have a successful school in a failing community unless you only pull from the best and brightest like a Lincoln or Sumner Academy in the KCs.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
