At least during the non-con I think that is valid. After he was pulled off of recruiting and couldn't leave campus, I think he saw the writing on the wall and started looking for next opportunities so I'm not sure the blame for the entire season lays with him.
We obviously would have been considerably better off simply promoting Fuller after Haith left, although that would have been an absurd reach of a hire. We just made an even larger absurd reach instead. While the 2015-16 and 2016-17 were worse teams, I would still contend that the 2014-15 season is by a wide margin the worst coached season in MU history. Fuller gets some of the valid blame there because he was retained under the premise of maintaining a D1 approach while we gave some of the old timer fanbase a temporary reprieve from reality.
