never had a losing season, AND I've never taken a job that I was woefully unqualified for.
Kim was a very good player at Mizzou - he was a great coach at Warrensburg...BUT the reason he was successful there (and having success at pitt st) is because he was able to get fringe D1 players to transfer in (on their last stop) - and they were/are simply better than the majority of dii players. Kim won with TALENT at cmsu - he didn't win because of coaching or player development. That's not a formula that he could replicate at Mizzou - because he couldn't "outtalent" the Kentuckys (hell he couldn't even "outtalent" the Vandy's & USCs.)
Had Kim aspired to be Mizzou's coach, he should have worked his way up the ranks - taken a mid-major gig and proven himself, while building recruiting ties. Instead, Kim waited back for his friends to hand him a job that he was unqualified for.
Does one have to be a D1 coach to critique a dii coach? What are you credentials here?
